Mishra further explained that some infants on the upper floor were safely evacuated by bundling them in cloth and lowering them with ropes.
Firefighters arrived promptly after receiving the alert and managed to control the flames. There have been no reports of casualties, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
Witness Account
Aparna Gupta, the wife of the hospital's director Dr. C.K. Gupta, shared that she was working in her office when smoke suddenly filled the entire premises. She received information about a fire in the basement, which is believed to have been caused by a battery explosion or a short circuit.
